Voyage to Grand Baltic Dunes, Palanga

I would like to go back into summer memories, where we went to Lithuanian seaside and stayed at these great apartments, called Grand Baltic Dunes.

Usually, when we go to Palanga, we stay at our friends house, but this time it was booked and we had to look for another place. I was so surprised to find something fresh, central and for a reasonable price.

These holiday apartments are located in the heart of Palanga city, in historical place in front of the famous Jonas Basanavicius street on the riverside of Ronze. Exceptional location is charmed by tranquility of swaying tree branches, and the Baltic Sea can be reached in just a few minutes’ walk. We valued this the most as we could walk to most of our destinations in 5/10 minutes - the beach, the restaurants, the park and the main street.

Unique interior solutions reflect the exclusivity – the perfect combination of Scandinavian authenticity, contemporary elegance, and comfort. It has various cozy furnished apartment rooms inspired by the pastel shades of Palanga resort nature. Wide glass windows to the beautiful landscape become live pictures decorating the walls of the buildings.

We stayed in one of these deluxe apartments with those wide glass windows and experienced beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day. The bathroom included a bathtub and also had those wide glass windows, and as we stayed on the top floor, we could enjoy the view while laying in the bath. Also - what was very handy with a toddler - the apartment included an open-plan kitchenette, where you could find a kettle for coffee/tea, hob, refrigerator, hood, sink, cutlery and dinnerware sets.

Outside, in between the apartment buildings you can find a very cozy lounge area with sofas and decorated with flowers. Perfect to enjoy a calm sunny minute while having breakfast or reading a book with a sleeping baby by the side.

The only downsides of this hotel was underground parking and breakfast. With regards to parking - we came at a very busy time (long weekend) and it was packed with cars. However, this problem was solved quite quickly, by offering us the parking just in front of the hotel.

Breakfast was somehow strange - it was all prepared in advance and brought from somewhere else (no kitchen inside the hotel). I do not know how to describe it, but it lacked something...Even though, the taste of what was offered, was not bad. Overall, we stayed at this hotel for 5 days and really enjoyed it.

Some pictures belong to me, some to the hotel.
